I once dated someone who thought Disco 2000 was by Joy Division when she first heard it. Primarily because it included the name “Deborah,” Ian Curtis’ wife’s name. Because Ian Curtis was the type of guy to sing about his wife by name a lot, obviously.
To music spergs like myself, this is kind of funny, for several reasons. To normal, well-adjusted people, it’s confusing and/or terribly boring.
